Giving back where we build
Our community work runs through two programmes: the Educere Learning Center, which TRU Dwellings runs in a tie-up with the Orenda Initiatives foundation, and the family's Smt. Vanajakshamma Vallivedu Foundation.

Educere began at the village's own request. As the work drew attention and parents saw their children progress, the village authorities and parents asked for a primary school to be run formally.
That was the chance to build a model learning centre: a focal point for creative learning that could also send ripples of change across the region. Educere Learning Center was set up to meet the learning needs of children in the village and around it.
The Center opened formally in February 2022 with 25 children from the village. Orenda Initiatives, the foundation TRU Dwellings has tied up with, provides the teachers and resources, and the children stay formally enrolled in the village's Government Primary School.
How it works
A model learning school for the region
Alongside the government school
Children remain enrolled in the village's Government Primary School. The Center adds teachers, resources and creative learning.
Tools for teachers
The Orenda Initiatives foundation prepares learning materials and resources, builds teacher-training modules and refines the teaching method as the programme grows.
Built to be copied
The long-term aim is for Educere to become a model learning school that other schools in the region can learn from.
